Proverbs 3

II. The Words of Solomon on Wisdom's Values (1:8 - 9:18)

F. The value of wisdom in building relationships with others (3:21-35)

21 My son, let not them (i.e. sound wisdom and discretion) depart from thine eyes (Don't lose focus on them): keep sound wisdom and discretion (i.e. discernment):

22 So shall they (i.e. sound wisdom and discretion) be life unto thy soul (thus, providing inward vitality), and grace to thy neck (and providing outward beauty or adornment for you, enhancing you, or being a credit to you).

23 THEN shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble (you will have peace of mind).

24 When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet (Peace of mind will guarantee a good night's sleep).

25 Be not afraid of sudden fear (or terror like the wicked), neither of the desolation (i.e. devastation or ruin) of (i.e. brought about by or which happen to) the wicked, when it cometh.
